Germicidal UV Lights for air conditioning in Sarasota

Breathe Cleaner Air When Our Team Is Done

Niels Finsen won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1903 for treating tuberculosis with ultra-violet light. Finsen found that UV light was effective in killing off harmful germs and bacteria. Since then, germicidal UV lights have been utilized for purifying water, disinfecting surfaces, and making hospitals safer.

UV lights can be a useful tool in purifying the indoor air quality of your home. When you call on our team of Sarasota professionals, we can begin working with you craft a custom plan for improving your indoor air quality.

Why You Should Use Germicidal UV Lights

In the simplest terms, germs cannot thrive with exposure to UV light. UV light is able to deactivate the DNA of bacteria, viruses, and other harmful microorganisms. With their DNA incapacitated, they lose their ability to multiply, thus making your house a healthier place.

Different Types of UV Lights

HVAC systems commonly pair with two types of UV lights:

  • Coil Sterilization – This long, slender light sits inside an air duct and cleanses the air handler coil. The light runs continuously.
  • Air Sterilization – This is a whole UV light unit that cleans the air in a room. The light sits in the return air duct, where a small blower continually moves air through and out.. While this can be more costly, it can deliver more aggressive results.

Did a great job on my AC unit today but I wish the installers last year had told.me that my Electric Air Filter was not working when they installed it. Ordered a new one today!
Response from the owner:Thank you James for choosing Airrific and for taking the time to review our company. We are very happy to hear that you were pleased with the service you received and look forward to seeing you again in the future.
Ralph Cerny
Airrific installed a new air conditioning unit about six weeks ago. They have had to come back twice since because of leaks in the refrigerant system which have prevented the unit from reaching desired temps.
One thinks the installation should have detected leaks before completion .
Response from the owner:Hi Ralph- we are sorry for the inconvenience as you now know there was not a leak in the AC system it was your line set that had nothing to do with the installation of the AC system but the line set that was put in when your home was built. Hopefully we can earn those 5 stars again!
